Cookie policy by Ar-Tex spa for the www.ar-tex.it website

What are cookies and what are they used for?

A cookie is a text file that the site visited by the user automatically sends to the user's computer; the cookie is then sent back to the site once the user visits the site again. Cookies differ: depending on the person who installs them on the user's terminal, depending on whether it is the same site operator that the user is visiting (so-called "first-party cookies") or a different site, which installs cookies through the first site (so-called "third-party cookies"); depending on their purpose: some cookies allow the website that installed them to remember, for example, the preferences expressed by the user while browsing or to make a purchase or authenticate the user (so-called "technical cookies"), other cookies allow the site that installed them to monitor the user's browsing also for the purpose of sending advertising or offering services in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing (so-called "profiling cookies"). Only profiling cookies require the user's prior consent to their use. First-party technical cookies and third-party profiling cookies are installed on the Ar-Tex website as described in the table below.

Technical cookies

Technical cookies are used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication on an electronic communications network, or insofar as this is strictly necessary to the provider of an information society service that has been explicitly requested by the contracting party or user to provide the said service." Technical cookies can be divided into: - navigation or session cookies, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate the user to access restricted areas); - analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics), similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site; - functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided. In particular, the Google Analytics tool used on this website gathers the visitors' IP address to provide an indication of their geographical location. This method is known as IP geolocation. Google Analytics does not report information about the actual IP addresses of visitors. Because of the use of a method known as IP masking, Google Analytics communicates information so that only a portion of the IP address for geolocation is used, rather than the entire address. You can download the browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics at this address https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The add-on informs the Google Analytics JavaScript code (ga.js) that information about visiting the website should not be sent to Google Analytics. The browser add-on for deactivating Google Analytics does not prevent information from being sent to the website itself. For the use of technical cookies no consent is requested to the interested party.

Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies are designed to create profiles related to the user and are used in order to send advertising material in line with the preferences expressed by the user while navigating. This site uses profiling cookies managed by third parties (there are no profiling cookies owned by the Data Controller). These cookies - listed below and for which the user's consent is required - are used for advertising services, targeted advertising, personalization of content, tracking and optimization of performance.

How to express consent to profiling cookies

Upon first access to the Ar-Tex website the user can accept all cookies by performing one of the following actions: clicking on the X or OK in the banner or on any element of the page (image or link) outside the banner or scrolling the page; furthermore, the user may refrain from performing the actions described in the banner, access the extended information statement and refuse consent to the installation of cookies by clicking on the relevant link. During subsequent visits to the Site (provided that the user has previously expressed his preference for the use of cookies, as indicated above), the user can access the information through the "Cookie Information" button, which appears on each page of the Website, and refuse consent to cookies in the manner indicated above. In any case, the user can refuse consent to cookies also via the browser settings, as described below.

Information pursuant to art. 13 of Reg. n.2016/679/EU

With respect to the information collected by cookies installed directly from the Site, the data controller specifies the following: o data are collected only for the purposes and for the duration indicated in the table below and are treated with computer-based tools; o as regards "technical" cookies, we once again state that use of these cookies does not require the prior consent of the user as these are necessary for the Site's operation and to allow navigation within it. In case of removal of technical cookies through browser settings, navigation on the Site may become totally or partially impossible; The data collected from the first party cookies may be communicated to subjects acting on behalf of the Data Controller as managers, appointed persons or persons authorised to treat data for purposes related to those described above. With respect to such data, the user can exercise the rights referred to in Reg. 2016/679/EU, as indicated in the Statement on the treatment of personal data available via the "Privacy" link in the footer of the Site. Finally, as regards third-party cookies, please note that the purpose of these cookies, the logic underlying the related processing and the management of user preferences with respect to the cookies themselves are not determined and/or verified by the owner but by the third party which supplies them, in its capacity of supplier and data controller.
